I think this is a pretty good fight in the 70s

I don't think this is a good fight. This is a fight where a karate guy thought he could take on a guy who trained differently without researching the other style and training against it. Apparently the karate guy did challenge the other to a rematch in which he won after training against the other's style. In my opinion this fight doesn't display either of the skills gained from their systems adequately. I imagine that either could do better.

It was an interesting fight. I didn't see any leg kicks or elbow strikes, so there must have been some concessions made before the fight. The Karate guy moved decently enough to save himself, but the Thai fighter was the aggressor.

I think this fight is awesome... It's the UFC of the 70s! I think the karate guy showed great skill, as did the kickboxer (obviously!), but there's a limit to how many roundhouse kicks any man can take!

I wouldn't go so far as to consider it a UFC precursor; there were plenty of challenges like that going on throughout the decades. To me, it is what it is; a challenge match in black and white.
