Hi Jackmak, thanks for sharing your story. I have had torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders before I started karate. My training helped with that too.
I tore my shoulders pushing my manual wheelchair in earlier days when the ms was causing extreme limitations.
You know I have yet to encounter anyone with a problem who hasn't been helped in some way by training in a martial art. |

I think that when it is not always easy to achieve what other people take for granted then when you do get there it does feel good.
I have a friend who is naturally athletic and who can do all sports so easily. Yet she smokes a lot and spends all her time in the pub and I just think, I'd give anything to have a body like yours and all you do is abuse it.

Alison....you will have the advantage when you're both older - she won't be able to continue at the rate she's going, so in a way you already do have the advantage over her. Instead of envying her, focus on your own accomplishments...
