Not sure I could even answer this. I still look at my sensei's teachings in that all kata starts with basics. So to master kata you need to master your basics.
So if I was to choose it would be our basics with our pihon katas but thats just me. |

I've only started Wado Ryu so I only know
Kihon Kata
Pinan Nidan
Pinan Shodan
Pinan Sandan
I like Kihon Kata and Pinan Nidan the most. Those I know. The others I've just started learning them and am still lost when doing them. But in time I will get a handle on those as well. _________________ The only difference between the possible and the impossible is one's will.

Five katas dont really make sense though. I think Funakoshi's orignal 15 kata syllibus is what makes the most sense and what Im going to adhear to. |
