How many women are in prison for a violent crime? How many men are victims of these same violent crimes? To either of these questions...I don't know off the top of my head, but I surely don't want to be the next victim of a violent crime, and if I can, I'm hitting whomever as hard and purposefully as I can.

Not that many, but there's a lot of evidence that statistically, it's difficult to convince a jury to convict a woman of anything violent no matter how airtight the case is. If it even goes to trial; as unreasonably difficult and distressing as it is for a woman to get people to take some of the attacks they are subjected to seriously, they have it much easier than guys trying to convince ANYONE who matters that they were victimized by a woman.

That's where it really gets dangerous. Women are culturally taught to be passive aggressive, whereas men are conditioned to be aggressive outright. Add in mob mentality and it can get ugly really quick.

Working on the assumption it's valid self defense, I don't have trouble with using force against a woman. I for sure would have my head on a swivel if I were in public on the look out for other men. I've seen and heard of quite a few instances where the woman is looking to provoke a fight between a guy and her significant other by taking a hit.

I've told my guys, and most other folks willing to listen, that you have two outcomes when you get into it with a woman. You either win, and beat up a girl, or lose and you get beat up by a girl. A quick, dirty and far less eloquent way of saying what JusticeZero said.

I can agree with what masterPain said.
If a woman tries to hit me (even if it's just a friend who's doing fun) I normally block out of reflex.

If it were serious I would defend myself. Of course it's easier to defend yourself against a woman because generally women are less a physical threat and you don't need to knock them out to be safe. So I guess there are more ways to get rid of the threat if it's a woman than if it's a man.

Cheers

If it truly is an issue of self-defense, then it must be dealt with regardless of the gender of the attacker.

However, JusticeZero does put some very good points out there.

Restraint or Running would be a better option

I have a female friend with 3 black belts. Shes brutal. Shes 5 or 6 inches shorter then me, and I must say if she felt a reason to attack you, you better defend yourself or hope you run faster then she can.

Her finishes almost always involve a combination of fish hook or eye gouge or ear tear, head stomping etc.

Bottomline:
No one has the right to hit anyone. A man has no more right to hit a woman, as a woman has the right to hit a man.

I agree with your Bottomline, if anyone threatens you physically or psychologically they are asking to be responded to accordingly, male or female.

As a female, if I were to attack someone, I would hope the person would at least try to defend themselves.

two situations in my career i have had to go hands on with a female subject, both times grappling and small joint manipulations I.E pain compliance came in very handy. A woman can kill you just as easy as a man if she is willing and able. everybody be safe out there.
