Yeah. One of those interesting things about Judo is that it's a better self-defense art in Toronto than it is in Miami

I dont think so. Once the UFC turned into the WWF, it was a goner. Which in my opinion is a good thing cuz it stays with traditional MA and keeps traditions alive and well.

I'm not sure it would make the fights any better if they did come back. Nor do I think the majority of the fighters out there now would agree to bring them back.

The "Gi" has its merits, but, for me, I'd, sooner than later, discard the gi because it's going to be in my way and provide a "tool" to use against me.
